If you've ever been to Hawaii or dream of going but can't, this spot is your ultimate escape. The moment you step inside, you're instantly transported to a tropical paradise. From the vibrant mural on the wall to the deliciously crafted menu, every detail evokes the spirit of the islands. This is a personally owned branch, not a corporate chain, and I want to give them a big shoutout for bringing such a healthy, vibrant option to the area. Some might say the prices are a bit steep, but honestly, it's well worth it for the high-quality ingredients and the immersive "staycation" vibes. I had a made-to-order acai bowl, and it was so good that when I arrived at my night class, everyone wanted to try it. It truly felt like stepping into Hawaii when you walked through the door, and then, just like that, you’re back in Missouri once you leave. I’ll definitely be back!

I went to Pura Vida Açaí Cafe with my daughter, and we both absolutely loved our açaí bowls. They were incredibly delicious and fresh—hands down the best bowls I’ve ever had. I got the Tico bowl and my daughter got the volcano bowl. My daughter couldn’t stop saying she wished she had gotten a bigger one! For those concerned about the price: you truly get what you pay for. Every bite was worth it, and you can taste the quality and freshness in every ingredient. We’ll definitely be going back. If you want the best, go to Pura Vida Açaí Cafe—you won’t be disappointed!

Have loved Pura Vida since my second pregnancy when I followed the truck around KC The açaí speaks for itself while Ethan and his staff are easy to order from and talk to. There are a few different kinds of acai around KC, this is the best hands down!

I recently tried Acai for the first time and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. I found the bowl to be very refreshing and tasty. The blend of textures and flavors was great. It was definitely a nice change of pace from some of the more standard lunch options. Pura Vida was very clean and inviting making a great atmosphere. I would be nice to have a few more seats available but there were able some benches outside that were close by. I recommend giving it a try.
